Bancone (literally translating as ‘counter’) is a hugely successful expanding brand set within the Italian casual dining sector located in central London. Brown Studio were asked in 2023 to design their third site in Borough Yards London which has a vibrant food scene adjacent to Borough Market. The result is a design drawing on the original influences of their existing restaurants in Soho & Covent Garden combined with architectural elements specific to its Victorian arches. The design is ‘quiet’ in its approach allowing the food preparation to take centre stage.
